Hi, friends!
Sam and Adam and I kept a solid several-feet or more distance at church today and recorded some songs that we hope will be an encouragement to you in your personal worship at home and as families. This first group of songs calls us to remember the faithfulness of God, His unshakable nature, and how worthy He is of our trust.
This week I was reminded that although our current circumstances happen to be a wide-spread and shared global experience, now, and throughout history, believers around the world have been commonly walking through times of disruption, war, shortage and loss. In fact, the God whom we freely worshipped in January 2020, last Christmas, over Thanksgiving, and last Easter during our times of relative peace and ease at Highland, has been simultaneously and faithfully sustaining others going through terrible times of crisis all over the world at the same time. This is not the first time the Lord has walked with his people through hardship. He is faithful, all the time. He sustains his people, all the time. He keeps his promises, all the time. May this time in our lives and through our current experience cause us to emerge even stronger in our faith and be more deeply rooted, as peace-filled dependents on our faithful provider who never changes.
Psalm 91:1, 2 "He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the LORD, my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust."
Isaiah 41:13 "For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, 'Fear not, I am the one who helps you.'"
