Today at Highland Baptist Church, Pastor Danny Gardner's sermon was from Luke 10:21-24. Jesus was known as the 'man of sorrows'.
He knows the destruction sin causes. But he was also a man of joy. He knows God's plan. God saving people from their sins to eternal life brings joy to Jesus. Jesus is one with God, so he is unlimited in his power and authority. He can not be stopped by a virus or by any government.
Nothing can stand in his way. With a pandemic raging around us and uncertainty about our future, Christians must put their faith in Jesus, the one in control. Consider the lives changed, for those who now have eternal life. Consider the miracles and the power you have seen that could only come from Jesus.
Then be joyful, rejoice, and let the world see what Jesus can do for them.
